Located just north of Chicago, CBG has over 385 acres with 26 display gardens. Colleen served as Senior Horticulturist of Evening Island and The English Walled Garden where she worked hands on creating and maintaining the beauty of these spaces, all 20 acres of them. Colleen also instructed numerous ornamental horticulture and maintenance classes for the School of the Chicago Botanic Garden.
